Breakthrough Breast Cancer is more than a name. It’s a force. A force of thousands of people across the UK working together with a single-minded ambition to stop women dying from breast cancer. In short, they are determined to create a future free from the fear of breast cancer.
With HRH The Prince of Wales as a supporting patron, the organisation’s awareness is ever increasing and its dedicated research centre funds a quarter of all breast cancer specific research in the UK.
Currently with 135 employees Breakthrough began the procurement process for a HR software solution. We caught up with Anne-Marie McGillivray, Head of HR Operations at Breakthrough to discuss her journey with Cascade so far:
Why did Breakthrough Breast Cancer decide to implement HR software?
“Our current system was out of date and wasn’t able to hold the information or provide the MI that we needed; therefore we decided it was time to find a system that matched our needs”.
How did you evaluate the various software options?
“A number of providers came in to showcase their software and these were shortlisted and a RFP was sent out. These providers then came in to give a presentation and show how their systems would carry out a number of scenarios; from here a decision was made as to which was the best fit for our needs”.
So why did you choose Cascade?
“We liked the look and feel of the core HR system and felt it matched our requirements; it was also within our budget and very user friendly”.
Breakthrough decided to implement Cascade HR and a range of flexible modules, including: Self Service, Workflow, Cascade Mobile, Training, Recruitment, Online Recruitment and Self Service Timesheets modules – information on all of Cascade’s modules can be found here.
Support from a dedicated Project Manager and committed Client Services team, will ensure Cascade is configured to Breakthrough’s requirements and business objectives to deliver their original goals.
