Leading HR and payroll technology experts at Cascade are putting the finishing touches to some exciting new software functionality for 2013, and delegates at the CIPD’s Annual Conference and Exhibition in November will be the first to get a ‘sneak peek’.
Designed to provide a flavour of what clients can expect from Cascade next year, the focus for stand 650 is to showcase the intelligent new features that will help HR and payroll professionals tackle Real Time Information (RTI) and auto-enrolment.
The impending introduction of RTI – probably the biggest overhaul of the UK’s tax system – has caused quite a stir in the industry. However, aware that changes take place within the employment environment all the time, Cascade’s development team has ensured, as always, that the software is one step ahead.
Software development director Dan Edwards explains: “RTI is regarded by Cascade as simply another step at the end of the payroll process which the software will guide users through when the time comes so that they have complete confidence in the accuracy and relevance of the figures they are submitting.”
At the same time as developing this new RTI functionality Cascade conducted an extensive period of client consultation. Cascade then began development of an auto-enrolment module purposefully designed to address the concerns that UK organisations raised.
The most prevalent challenges were the administrative complexity of setting up and managing an auto-enrolment process, and the inevitable increased business costs of the legislative changes. The priority at Cascade has therefore been to develop value-adding software functionality that will alleviate as much of the administrative burden and associated costs as possible.
To do this, Cascade has stuck to an ethos which has made the company stand out from the crowd since its inception – deliver powerful, proactive functionality that is incredibly easy to use.
Dan continues: “Without intuitive technology the auto-enrolment process will be administratively intensive and difficult to manage. However our ability to capture, interpret and process complex data in the simplest and most meaningful way for the client is where this new module will really add value. We are going to bring the auto-enrolment process to life, making it incredibly clear what HR and payroll professionals need to do and when, allowing each department to retain control over their own tasks whilst at the same time encouraging legislative compliance.”
ACE delegates are invited to come along to see for themselves just what Cascade has in store for 2013. At the same time, Cascade’s experienced team of software experts will be on hand to demonstrate the rest of the fully-integrated HR and HMRC recognised payroll system, and answer any questions large or small. A library of educative white papers focusing on topics such as absence management, data migration and self service, will also be available for delegates free of charge.
Sharing his concluding thoughts about the event, Dan summarised:
“Because we strive to continually heighten client efficiencies and further improve the Cascade user experience, we are constantly developing and releasing new functionality that delivers that little bit extra.
“The CIPD’s Annual Conference and Exhibition, along with the HR Software Show in June, provides the perfect opportunity to showcase what’s new in the world of innovative HR technology, and we are excited to offer delegates this first look at our 2013 releases.”
