Payroll clients from every corner of the UK gathered in Leeds and London earlier this month to attend Cascade’s informative Payroll User Groups.
Organised by payroll quality manager Joanne Knowles, the two events were designed to enable the sharing of important company-specific and industry-wide information, exclusively with users of Cascade’s fully-integrated HR and payroll software.
Whether clients’ main goal from the day was to ensure payroll compliance, investigate ways to work smarter, or discover how to add value when providing employee reward, Cascade had all bases covered. The jam-packed program included:
Commenting on the success of the two days, Joanne said:
Cascade is a very client-facing organisation and we remain in close contact with our customers all year round. But the aim of the user groups is to bring many clients together at once so that they can not only talk to us, they can speak to fellow users of the Cascade HR and payroll solution too.
We are keen to promote knowledge-sharing opportunities, plus open and honest communication – which is why we are always very transparent about our plans for the software and the company as a whole.
At the end of every user group we ask clients to fill in an evaluation form so that we can be sure that when we organise the next events, we satisfy as many requirements as possible. We also ask specific questions about clients’ use of our software functionality so that our development plans are as targeted, relevant and value-adding as possible.
At the end of the sessions, client feedback was very positive. Here are just some of the comments we received:
Carrie Mortimore, finance and payroll administrator at entertainment software developer Eurocom said:
The user groups provide us with the reassurance that we are fully up to date with everything that is going on within the ever-changing world of payroll. We come away from the event armed with incredibly useful information for the year ahead, plus we know that the software will continue to support us and will evolve to meet new industry requirements.
Steven Pallett, payroll manager for Wakefield and District Housing commented:
The user group events are always perfectly timed before year end, as they provide that much-needed peace of mind that we are doing everything correctly. It’s also helpful to hear updates direct from the CIPP especially at a time when there is so much going on within our industry. The whole day brings an added element of clarity to our profession, plus it’s great to meet and talk to new people too.
Finally Toni Morley, general ledger accountant for Wesco Aircraft Europe summarised:
What’s great about the Cascade user groups is that they’re actually enjoyable. They are the perfect length which means we stay focused and come away from the day with some very helpful reminders and greater knowledge about what lies in store for us as payroll professionals over the coming months.
